Founded in Calicut in 1972, N.M.Salim & Associates is a renowned Architectural practice, with offices in India and the Middle East. Over the past our decades we have been responsible for a wide variety of work ranging from urban planning, civic and cultural buildings, hotels, hospitals, offices complexes, shopping malls, IT Parks to private houses and high rise residential apartments. Till date we have successfully designed and completed over 500 projects.

Our first major breakthrough came with The Unity Health Complex in Mangalore in 1978 and the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Cochin in 1982 both of which were won through national competitions. Galfar Residential Complex, Muscat in 1985 was our first international project.

We began our international operations in Doha in 1995.

N. M. Salim

Ar. N.M. Salim graduated with B.Arch from Trivandrum Engineering College in 1971 and set up this organization in Calicut, in the year1972. He is a member of several professional organizations like the Fellow Member of The Indian Institute of Architects, Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects, the All India Management Association, the Council of Architecture (Government of India) and Institute of Indian Interior Designers. Salim is intimately involved in every project his firm undertakes looking into every detail and strives to achieve the very best in his chosen field. He and his team work together to achieve architectural excellence in every project they undertake.

Ar. N.M. Salim has received several awards for his outstanding and innovative work in the field of architecture. He was the recipient
of The Indian Institute of Architects Award 2000 for designing the best public building in India – Galfar International Convention Centre
at Kochi, Kerala. He also received award for designing and constructing a Low Cost House for the Kerala State Housing Board in 1982.
His work on his own residence qualified for the 2001 Aga Khan Award for Architecture. The Le Meridien Hotel Builidng, Kochi and the
M.E.S. Engineering College, Kuttippuram, Kerala also pre-qualified for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
